Samley Tea was founded in 2015 with a vision of marketing ceylon tea to tea connoisseurs who value a quality tea product.

Since then, the company has expanded its operations in Sri Lanka and serves its overseas buyers, who acknowledge their commitment to best practices. Having obtained FDA licensing, USDA certification, and ISO 22000:2018, Samley Tea is geared to offer products of the highest caliber. Legacy of Ceylon Tea

Sri Lanka has an impeccable legacy associated with tea. Going back to its roots, it is heartening to note that Loolecondera, the first tea planation in Sri Lanka, tea is still being produced from the first seeds planted over 150 years ago.

Accomplishing as a SME

• Set up first overseas ‘Tea Lab’ in Beijing- A concept store to experiment and learn about SL Tea culture, heritage in November 2019 & establishing out footprint in USA, Japan & in Poland.
• Private labelling for Keells Super Market Chain which is Sri Lanka’s premier retail chain
• ‘Super brand’ space at the Laksala Iconic store in Colombo to showcase ‘Samley branded’ products

The journey of Samley Tea began in the year 2015, not so long ago. Then we were an enthusiastic new entrant to the world of marketing tea.

Incidentally, we served Laksala, an iconic gift house in Colombo, as our first corporate customer. Today, Samley Tea is regarded as a leading tea exporter in Sri Lanka, having exported over 500,000 kgs of tea within a year to over a dozen international destinations. Our vision is to offer you tea of superior quality, that is fresh and rich in nature’s goodness. Therefore, our business model is founded on the communities in which we operate. The brand Samley Tea is founded on a passionate commitment to quality and integrity in tea. It is also our unique philosophy that goes beyond commerce.
